The sixty-domed mosque is a well-known mosque which is one of the most traditional places in our country. The mosque is famous for 60 small dome-shaped roofs and is named after it. This mosque has huge heritage and many rich history. There is no inscription on the mosque. So no accurate information is available about who was created or at what time it was built.However, there is no doubt about the architecture of the mosque that Khan-i-Jahan Ali had built. It is believed that he built it in the 1440s. This mosque was built for many years and with a lot of money. It is located in one of the three world heritage sites of Bangladesh, Bagerhat city of Khulna division has been given the status of World Heritage Site.

In 1983, UNESCO gave this honor. This mosque is located in Bagerhat district. There are many Muslim establishments in this city, between them sixty-domed mosques have become more familiar. The sixty-domed mosque has been described as a historic mosque which represents the Golden Age of Muslim Bengal.The north and south walls have 7 doors. There are four minarets on the four corners of the mosque. Their design is round and narrowed upwards. Tulle bricks, lime-straw, terracotta plaques, used as construction material.

How to go:

There are two different routes from Dhaka to Bagerhat. One is going to Gabtali in Dhaka - Kharagpur via Barihata via Aricha Ferry crossing through this bus will open on any bus to Khulna bus stop, Khulna Royal stop,From there you have to go to Rupsa or Sonadanga, from Baparhat to Rupsa or Sonadanga on the local bus. You can also go straight to Bagerhat via Pirojpur-bound Sakura transport, while the other is going to Gulistan / Sayedabad via Mawa Ferry / Bordarhat.

Ticket Price:


The price of tickets in the sixty-dome mosque is twenty paise, but no child under five years of age needs a ticket. For any foreign visitor, the ticket price is two hundred taka. Also at the time of the prayer is free!

Open Closure Schedule:

In the summer from 10am to 6pm sixty-dome mosque is open. The middle is closed from 1pm to 1.30pm for half an hour. And it is open from 9am to 5pm in the winter. In winter, it is closed from 1pm to 1.30pm. And for the Jumma prayer on Friday, it is closed from 12:30 to 3 in the morning. Sunday is open for general holidays and on Monday, 2:00.
